Yes it would make certain enchantments farmable, but enchanted books already CAN be farmed with AFK fishing farms. This seems more balanced than getting Totems of Undying for finishing a raid. Instead of dropping Totems of Undying, maybe they can drop enchanted books, and this would be the "reward" for getting to the later stages of a raid. You know, that awesome Illager mob added 3 years ago that never got used. In their place, I would have ILLUSIONERS. This is my less favorite of the two ideas I have, since they would still be farmable but at a lower rate.Ģ) What I think the better solution is - I would not have Evokers in the raids at all. Or maybe have it so that during raids, there is only a 10% chance or so that they will drop a totem. Elytra are not farmable because they are super powerful and super rare. The bottom line is, Totems should not be farmable. They can have a truly endless run because of this. Once the player has a raid farm set up, they are set forever basically. Undyne the Undying Totem of Undying featuring Undying Undyne with her Undying of Totem. This is a huge problem, especially for Hardcore. You know me, you see me, yet I remain as a egghead. This means that, unless the player falls into the End void, they will literally never die again. A competent player can obtain Totems at a much higher rate than they are consumed. Entire double chests can be quickly filled with the totems of undying. They can install traps over the village so that the raid basically completes itself. And this is where we have a huge problem.Īny competent player can set up a raid farm. They were very difficult to get.īut then they made them available in Raids. For each time you did this quest, you'd get 2 or maybe 3 totems. The whole thing felt like a neat little side quest, yielding a very powerful item. Then you had to make your way to the top of the mansion and defeat the Evoker. The Woodland Mansion was so rare that the odds of you finding one by chance were almost nil. You had to find a Cartographer villager and trade with it until you were given a map that would lead you to a Woodland Mansion. When Totems of Undying were first introduced, there was only one way to get them. (#spoiler) = neat!
